Bucktown got its name in the early 1800's as a result of its primarily Polish population's penchant for raising male goats, “buck”. Bucktown offers affordable housing, good transportation, and proximity to the Loop and lakefront activities.

Bucktown Arts Fest is held here every August and it attracts around 30,000 visitors every August.
Transportation is convenient as the El is located at North Damen and Milwaukee avenues. CTA buses run on Major Street such as Ashland, Damen, Western and Armitage.
