Chicago's Near South real estate is undergoing the biggest boom in over a century. New home developments are popping up in both new neighborhoods just south of the Loop and traditional neighborhoods along South Lake Shore Drive. The Near South Side has convenient access to I-90 to the west, I-55 to the north. CTA busses run along several of its major streets. Metra and the El Blue, Orange, Red and Green Lines provide easy access to the Loop.
