West Town extends from Eisenhower Expressway (400 S) to Chicago Avenue (800 N) and Halsted Street (800 W) to California Avenue (2800 W). It includes zip codes 60606, 60607, 60612, 60618 and 60661, and East Pilsen, Fulton River District, Greektown, Illinois Medical District, Little Italy, Near West Side, Tri-Taylor, University Village, West Loop and West Loop Gate neighborhoods.
The intersection of Damen, Milwaukee and North avenues is the center for the area and much of the commercial boom is centralized here. Art and commerce peaceably co-exist. Most of the gallery action is located here. Value shops can also be found here along with a few boutiques.
