Wrigleyville, home of the renowned Chicago Cubs, is named for its ballpark, Wrigley Field. The area is also a shopping haven. There are more than 600 retail stores on the east side alone. Many people from outside of the city or even state come for the game and stay for the party at night or vice versa. The neighborhood is most lively during the baseball season, but it doesn't even have to be a baseball season for it to have a party atmosphere.

Sluggers, Hi-Tops, Cubby Bear and Barleycorn are some of the Wrigley area bars that cater to fans of all sports. The Improv Olympic features daring improvisational comedy and Metro showcases hot bands, the Annoyance Theatre thrills with its raunchy brand of humor. The neighborhood is less noisy on non-game days, but it is never quiet. It has a great night life for bar-hoppers, so the area is usually jumping Thursday through Saturday night.
